Biography

In 2016 after 27 years, I retired from teaching photography in the BFA program at the Grenfell Campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland, in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Canada.

I have moved to Ontario and continue to work as a visual artist with a background in photography and printmaking. For the past several decades my main technical interest has been photogravure and the creation of works on paper involving intaglio and letterpress. I have worked with other alternative photographic processes including gum bichromate and pinhole. I am also exploring the artistic potential of artistamps and limited edition artist's books. A recent project, the Lyric Cranium, was a wunderkammer installation, a long term physical space meant to be a potential source for new imagery and sculptural assemblages. I continue to explore the potential of using this archive and collection as an inspiration for new work and installation projects.
