Saint Pierre Cemetery

Digital capture · June 2006

In 2006, We took the ferry to the French Islands of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, just off the southern coast of Newfoundland, Canada. It really was like stepping into a European town. After having our passports stamped, we wandered through the small fishing town on the edge of the Grand Banks of Newfoundland. The building colors were different, the currency was the Euro, the bread was better, the cars were mainly Reneaults and Citroëns, and everyone in the bar was watching soccer. Even the cemetery looked European, very much like graves in Paris, but less opulent. These photos represent a small part of that visit.
